Last night just for fun I pulled up an old Elder Wieland recording, and something you said here reminded me of where he said, "I've never preached a sermon on dress reform." Also, the CS Lewis quote! It reminds me of Galatians 3:24 (my interpretation.) I try to check all the boxes and come up short over and over, until I admit that I can't do it myself.
