I think it’s getting out of hand. Christians are supposed to be followers of Christ meaning we follow His teachings. So when one of His biggest sermons gets demonized by a particular group of people who still claim to follow him there is a problem. At what point are we going to call a spade a spade?

You are on to something here. The affliction for the cause of Christ is to be accepted with grace and joy (I count it all joy, yes?). To use the idea of the challenges being made against Christianity as our right to now weaponize our rightness and persecute others, or engage in intolerance, is to act in an anti-gospel way. Standing for my faith never permits me to vilify or victimize others.

Thank you, Judi! I appreciate the feedback. The word "weaponize" is a good and appropriate one.

I needed this article, Shawn: thanks a lot! Living in secular, left-leaning Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, we Christians (me included) have often complained RE: the political changes that have occurred here (including pushing the LGBTIQ agenda, not allowing parents to try to talk to or pray with their children interested in a gender transition, government control over the local Christian schools, etc.). But we forgot, as you are writing above, that we Christians should be expecting all these trials...🙏❤️

Really? This crap again? Can't we just focus on fixing things for the poor and marginalized, and leave the popularity contests aside?

The book, The Insanity of God, is fantastic in making the point that Christianity can thrive in times of persecution. The stories are amazing!! Just like those in the book of Acts.

There are two kinds of people in the U.S: those who recognize the onslaught currently underway against the one thing standing in the way of the Communist Party; God. And those who are completely oblivious to that one point and consequently are unknowingly paving the way for them. Put yourself in the latter group.

Muslims find it perfectly reasonable to lie to any infidel; dissenting opinion. Communists: same, they consider lying good fun in the battle against Christians. Christians deal in truth/honesty.

The false accusations you point to in the article by Daniel Montanez which you describe as “a masterpeice,” do not chink the armor of any Christian. Lies just fall right off. I myself find all the lies: Christians condoned slavery, Cristians slaughtered the Indians, Christians have phony, fallen clergy, Christians seek to take over the United States and mandate our faith, blah blah bah… to be the source of great hilarity. I’m not “suffering” over that nonsense.

The next time I read someone telling me how to be a good Christian, which is truly endless and un-ending on the internet, I will know it’s a Tuesday. Yawn.

The political climate in this country is disturbing. More are voting out of hate than are voting for Gods love without the slightest clue as to the world-wide ramifications of their act: enslavement, misery, starvation…

To that end you have reduced yourself to “useful idiot” in the battle of good versus evil. Pointing to websites like that of NPR is unacceptable. They are a completely anti-American, 100% Democrat led, source of Communist propaganda, hate, and lies. It is a pseudo intellectual organization run by children who dream of “civil war” in hopes to destroy the country. You should seek more adult programs.

I am saddened by Americans who fail to recognize the importance of Christianity in this country; Gods love; the study of love; the active will to improve self by focusing on others and the freedom-for-all that that philosophy entails. So I am happily suffering for God. It is an honor!

Attacks on religious people are so incredibly uncouth. It is obviously political. The audacity of people who try to paint Christianity in the past tense is outrageously stupid! Christianity is completely and necessarily interwoven and unremovable from our government and our sacred founding here in the United States. Christianity is the reason for all of this that you enjoy everyday; peace and tranquility, rights given and protected by law (under Republicans), funneled through, and from a loving Christian God. It’s a beautiful thing. All (all) positive!

President Trump is not trying to restore us to some “former glory.” He’s battling evil people who want to end us; to seperate us from the one thing competing government leaders and anti-American activists (Communists, Globalist Slavemasters, Pseudo Elitists, Black Supremacists…) cannot defeat to obtain political power; God. We have God built-in. Right up until Evil-Goons convince us that God is dead or “unwanted.” Hah! What garbage!
